Platt College Alumni and designer for Classy.org, Stacey Uy, has a birthday coming up on December 22nd and instead of asking for gifts she is asking people to help a good cause instead. In an effort to help military veterans Stacey chose to have all of her fundraising proceeds go towards Team Rubicon.
For those of you who may not know what Team Rubicon does Stacey explained it quite while on her fundraising page, “Team Rubicon is important because they seek to provide veterans with the things they lose after leaving the military: a purpose, gained through disaster relief; community, built by serving others, and self-worth, from recognizing the impact one individual can make. It’s about taking something seemingly tragic and turning it into something positive, and empowering veterans to truly serve others.”
In order to attract more donations for this wonderful cause she has also offered a special Game of Thrones art print designed by her as a raffle prize for one lucky donor!
