Transfer Students
Transferring Credits from other Institutions
Transferring credits from other institutions is quick and easy. Platt College San Diego may accept general education credits with a minimum grade of “C” or above transferred from accredited post-secondary institutions approved by the appropriate governing or accrediting agencies of locality. Outlined in the college catalog are met. Vocational postsecondary institutions in California must be approved by the Bureau for Private Postsecondary and Education for ability to transfer. All transfer units are subject to approval. To gain a quick unofficial evaluation of transfer credits you may provide unofficial transcripts directly to your admissions representative during the initial interview meetings.
The College also utilizes American Council on Education (ACE) recommended scores for CLEP and DSST. The College Level Exam Program (CLEP), DANTES Subject Standardized tests (DSST), Advanced Placement (AP) tests exams, and Military Training will be considered for transfer.
Credit-By-Exam/Portfolio Review
Platt College permits credit-by-exam/portfolio review for technical course credits. Credit–by-exam/portfolio review is available to those students who possess a well-rounded knowledge in a particular subject and possess a well-developed portfolio or demo-reel.
