Platt College San Diego is pleased to welcome the artists behind some of the most beloved 3D animation films such as How To Train Your Dragon, Megamind, and the upcoming feature film, Puss In Boots.
This exclusive event will be very unique, as our campus guests will be presenting for two days! The presentations will differ both Thursday and Friday, but both will be tailored to inspire and motivate the minds of any artist.
Join us on May 5th and 6th 2011 on Platt College Campus at 12:30PM. Both presentations will be held in the General Education, Purple Room.
Presenters of this event will be Platt Alumni, Tyler Phillips (B.S. Media Arts – 3D Animation) and former Platt 3D Animation professor, Craig Dowsett. Both will be covering various topics such as:
A Day in the Life as an Animator/Modeler at DreamWorks Animation
Animation/Modeling Processes
Behind The Scenes stories of working on a DreamWorks Animation film
Developing the perfect portfolio/demo reel to land that DREAM job
What the studios/industry are currently looking for within your portfolio/demo reel
Do’s and Don’ts when making a portfolio/demo reel

Students may bring your works and/or portfolios for professional feedback.
