Logo Design Contest for the College Area Food Experience

Logo Design Contest Hosted by the College Area Business District:

We are excited to be partnering up with the College Area Business District for their College Area Food Experience (CAFE) event happening this May. Some of you may be familiar with the College Area Taste that happens every year here in our neighborhood and this year they decided to re-brand the event. That’s where YOU come in!

If you are looking to add some new work to your portfolio don’t miss out on this excellent opportunity!

Prizes:

One submission will be selected as the winner and awarded $300 for their creative logo design. But that’s not all! The student or alumni with the winning submission will also have the opportunity to design all the collateral materials for the event as well, which is a paying gig on top of the $300 prize.

A runner up will also be selected and awarded 2 free tickets to attend CAFE (a $50 value).

Logo Design Requirements:

-Each student or alumni may submit up to 3 different logo designs for the contest.

-Must incorporate the event name: College Area Food Experience & their acronym, CAFE

-The logo should feature some of the following concepts: food & foodies, the college area, people and fun!

-Demographic: Ages 25 & up who love food. But keep in mind that the area also attracts a younger college crowd as well.

-Colors: Think FOOD or try to incorporate the College Area Business District official colors (Black, White & Red).

-Get Creative! You have a lot of artistic freedom with this design. But remember to keep it business appropriate. All logos should be created in Adobe Illustrator format so it can be scaled to fit large signage.

-For more inspiration you can explore the College Area Business District website and Facebook.
You can search their directory for a list of restaurants participating in the event.

Where to Send Submissions:

Please email all submissions for the contest to Platt’s Social Media Coordinator, Natasha Englehardt at nenglehardt@platt.edu.

All submissions should be sent in a .jpg or .pdf format. The winner will need to provide the College Area Business District with the original .ai or .eps file once notified of being chosen.

**Please note: This contest is only open to Platt College students and alumni. By submitting a logo into the contest you give Platt College San Diego & the College Area Business District permission to use your logo design on our social media outlets and website. If your logo is not chosen you still retain the rights to the design and may use it for your portfolio.

The Submission Deadline is March 4th!
