You Don’t Need A Comic-Con Ticket To The Main Event To Get Your Fandom On!
Every year thousands of people head to the San Diego Convention center to attend San Diego Comic-Con International. Located in the Gaslamp Quarter, spectators and participants flock to the streets to celebrate their appreciation for comics, and interrelated culture and arts.

WEDNESDAY, JULY 18
The San Diego Symphony celebrates the movie music of John Williams
John Williams is the man behind the most memorable scenes in movies like “Superman,” “Jaws,” “Jurassic Park,” and “Indiana Jones Raiders of the Lost Ark.”

- Where: Jacobs Music Center. Tickets start at $35.
San Diego Comic-Con Unofficial Blog’s Annual Party
- When: Wednesday, July 18 from 6-9 p.m.,
- Where: McFadden’s Pub, 731 Fifth Ave. Free and open to all.
THURSDAY, JULY 19
Sparks Gallery: Alpha Book Club Happy Hour: Free and open to the public
- When: Thursday, July 19 from 7-9 p.m
- Where: Sparks Gallery, 530 Sixth Ave.
Got Pets? Check out Super Pup Yappy Hour
Hotel Republic’s Yappy Hour is the perfect place for pet owners who want to find costumes for their furry friends. Mingle with other pet owners while sipping on Comic-Con themed cocktails. There will also be a pet costume contest.

Friday, JULY 20 and Saturday, July 21
New Children’s Museum will host a SyFy Fan Party
SYFY’s fan parties return to the Children’s Museum Friday, July 20 and Saturday, July 21. There will giveaways and a DJ spinning until 1am. Free and open to all, RSVP required.
