New Platt College San Diego Digital Media Design Website Complete
Platt College San Diego is excited to debut their brand new redesigned website! Providing visitors with a user friendly experience and access to new features. Over the past 2 years many of the departments at Platt have been working hard with the Jacob Tyler Creative Group to create a new website for the school. The Jacob Tyler Creative Group is a full service brand communications agency that is the same company who redesigned Platt’s logo earlier last year.
With an average of 7,500 visitors a month, it is important for Platt to update their image through the world wide web to a more modern, current and easier to navigate site. Some of the new features on the site include an upgraded student design work gallery, a current student section, F.A.Q.’s, extracurricular activities, an easy to find holiday schedule, and a redesigned blog! There is also a useful section for alumni to frequent that will list career services available “for life”, how to keep in touch with Platt, how to submit their personal success stories, encourage involvement in field trips and how Platt Alumni are invited to return as a guest speaker.
The new web site is just one of many changes Platt has recently implemented to keep its appearance current and representative of a school on the cutting edge of the digital media design world. This year Platt launched a live webcast channel from our very own Digital Video Studio featuring Platt announcements, spotlight, event and live music sessions. Earlier last year Platt also unveiled its new logo redesign, created brand new commercial spots to be shown on FOX and during Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim and placed an emphasis on posting informative social media channels.
One of the ways Platt encouraged student involvement in creation of the new site was a contest to design a set of icons to represent each individual area of study that the school offers: Graphic Design, Web Design, 3D Animation, Digital Video Production and Visual Effects. The winner of the contest was awarded with a brand new Ipod touch and the icons displayed on the website! Platt student Jarod Octon won the competition for his creative icon designs.
Platt’s new website will provide more information about the college to prospective students, as well as current students, alumni and employers looking to hire Platt Graduates. Visit the provided link to see the new site for yourself! www.platt.edu
