Platt College web design students currently in our Term 5 web campaign class taught by Fred Winton recently participated in a codeathon! What is a codeathon exactly? Well, the students are put into teams of 2 and given one class day (a total of 3.5 hours) to code a one page web layout from scratch.
This is an excellent way to challenge the students to put their coding skills to the test while practicing teamwork. The winners are chosen by their ability to complete the project while keeping it as close to the original design as possible. Colton Wood and Ryan Tazca Schultz won the recent competition and were awarded with gift cards and some “unique” items that we were told was part of an inside joke. Congratulations Colton and Ryan!
