Pop Culture Art Show – Call For Artists!
July 22nd, 2015 | Natasha Englehardt
The month of August is a busy time for all of us here at Platt, not only will there be an art exhibition at the Lyceum Theater earlier in the month, but there’s another opportunity to showcase your work as well. You may have heard about the big movie premiere we are hosting for the award winning documentary, Cosplay Dreams 3D. As part of this fun event we will also be displaying artwork from our students and alumni throughout the lobby of the theater.
The theme for this particular exhibition is Pop Culture! Which means you can submit artwork that relates to your favorite movies, comic books, and video games. This event is one night only so to maximize your efforts we will also be showcasing the work submitted for the Cosplay event to the restaurant Crushed to be on display for a week after the premiere.
All work should be submitted to Natasha in Admissions not later than August 17th. Keep in mind that we won’t be able to display your work on the walls of the theater, so it should be presented in a way that can be displayed on an easel. If you would like to sell your piece be sure to include the price, along with the title of your work. For more information you can contact Natasha at firstname.lastname@example.org.
