Platt College Presents the Top 10 Student & Alumni Designs from January 2015It’s time for another showcase featuring some of our most popular student designs according to Instagram likes and comments. If you follow us on Instagram you know that we like to share art, video production projects, 3D animations, and designs from our talented digital media design students and alumni almost daily! It’s a great way to show off all the hard work our students put into not only their class projects, but any side projects they are working on as well. #2 – Platt College alumni Jorge Tirado was featured at the San Diego Raw Artist’s Art Show on January 14th. His latest art print “Welcome to 2015” was one of his many awesome creations on display and available for sale at the event. Be sure to check out Jorge’s Behance Portfolio for more inspiring designs. #3 – Platt College alumni Janie Lynn Johnson drew this adorable Boston terrier pup using nothing but pen! This was a project she completed back in 2013 after taking Term 1 Design Basics here at Platt. Nicely done Janie!

#7 – Platt College student Ryan Ritterbusch created this fun Breaking Bad themed Recipe app. Students in our Term 3 Digital Publishing class learn to create custom apps for iPhone and iPad using different tools in Adobe InDesign without needing to know any coding. #8 – Platt College Web student Brittany Ashcraft is currently working on a website for a new restaurant called The Good Life Eatery. The client needed a website that offered interactive features, such as online ordering and social media for their new site. You can view more work from Brittany on her Behance Portfolio. #9 – Platt College 3D Animation student Andrea Valdez created this creative fantasy character for her Term 6 Digital Character Sculpting class. For this class students focus on mastering high-end 3D modeling using the programs ZBrush and Autodesk Maya. You can view more work from Andrea on her Behance Portfolio. Awesome job Andrea!
#10 – Platt College alumni Yolanda White showed how a graphic design education can sure come in handy! Yolanda created these ‘amazing’ Spider-Man themed birthday invites for her son Kingston’s 3rd birthday and what a ‘Marvel’-ous job she did! Awesome work Yolanda!
