Platt College Presents The Top 10 Student & Alumni Designs From April 2015

It’s time for another showcase featuring some of our most popular student designs according to a combination of Instagram likes and comments. If you follow us on Instagram you know that we like to share art, web designs, video production projects, 3D animations, and designs from our talented digital media design students and alumni almost daily! It’s a great way to show off all the hard work our students put into not only their class projects, but any side projects they are working on as well.

#1 – Platt College Alumni Juan Fernando Garcia had his artwork featured in the Wacom Gallery on Behance last month! His awesome Mouse House Heroes illustration is definitely a hit! You can check out more work from Juan by checking out his profile on Behance.

#2 – Platt College student Adrian Brown AKA @king_dark_ape has been using our official hashtag to share his projects with us. This beautiful illustration is one of many he has posted on his Instagram account. Nice work Adrian!

#3 – Platt College graphic design student Sinai Wright created this beautiful geometric vector portrait using Adobe Illustrator. This fun project is part of our Term 2 Intro to Illustrator class and students are given the freedom to create a vector portrait of themselves or someone that they admire. It’s always fun to see what unique creations our students come up with! Nice work Sinai!

#4 – Platt College Web Design student Dedeyla Conde created this Travel Run website for her Term 5 Web Campaign class. For this particular project students draw randomly from a set of general clients. They must then brand and design a website as well as create other supplemental works around the client they are given. Great job Dedeyla!

#5 – Platt College graphic design student Sean Lenahan has a wonderful collection of digital art pieces on his Behance portfolio. One of our favorites was this colorful illustration of the Miller High Life girl. Nice work Sean!

#63D Animation Alumni Jacob Roark has an impressive collection of 3D models he has created since finishing his degree here at Platt College. This realistic render of a Saleen happens to be his first attempt at modeling a car. Very impressive!

#7 – Platt College student Stephanie Bandera created this logo design to be used with all of her personal branding. This was a concept she first came up with in Term 1 Typography here at Platt. Great job Stephanie!

#8 – This ️angry cloud vector illustration is the latest creation from Platt College alumni Jarod Octon. He’s been creating some fun icons lately for his full-time job as Art Director for local app company Touch This Media. And you can check out more of his artwork and designs through his profile Class Act Label. Nice work Jarod!

#9 – Platt College Alumni, Austin Faure, created this project for his Term 6 Rendering & Lighting class using his company Lipstick Surf Co. as his inspiration. For this particular assignment students are asked to create a still life scene in Autodesk Maya. From there they learn the different techniques to help improve render quality and time. Nice work Austin!

#10 – Platt College Alumni Lend Their Talents To The Flex For Foster Kids Fundraiser: In preparation for the event we had the opportunity to interview Platt Alumni Justin Edelman about the test photo shoot and how his partnership with the LinderKids Foundation has evolved into such an inspiring story. He has also been working closely with other fellow Platt Alumni, Joe Tamez and David Peng Li. The photos from their test shoot turned out great and we couldn’t wait to share them with you all!
