PLATT COLLEGE PRESENTS THE TOP 10 STUDENT & ALUMNI DESIGNS FROM March 2015

It’s time for another showcase featuring some of our most popular student designs according to a combination of Instagram likes and comments. If you follow us on Instagram you know that we like to share art, web designs, video production projects, 3D animations, and designs from our talented digital media design students and alumni almost daily! It’s a great way to show off all the hard work our students put into not only their class projects, but any side projects they are working on as well.

#1 – Platt College Alumni Jarod Octon recently participated in an Alice in Wonderland themed art show called Through The Canvas. The event was held in La Jolla at the Royale Tea Room last weekend and featured artwork from several other Platt alumni as well! #3 – Platt College Web Design Alumni Michael Fugoso recently completed this impressive branding project for Revau Event Planning. From the logo design to the website, Michael was able to create a great professional presence for this local start-up. You can view more on this project by visiting Michael’s Behance Portfolio.

#5 – Platt College graphic design student, Michelle Pardo, created this lovely portrait of her sister using Adobe Illustrator. This was a project that students in our Term 2 Vector Illustration class recently completed. You can view more design work from Michelle through her Behance Portfolio.

#6 – Platt College San Diego Student Dennis Santarinala won Silver at the San Diego ADDY Awards! We are very proud of you and all his hard work. This was one of the photographs included with his winning submission. You can read more about this exciting award on our blog!

#7 – Platt College alumni Justin King has branded his design company under the name King Kreative. He recently shared an inspiring collection of logo concepts for his brand on Behance, including this fun Wildlife Observer logo.

#8 – Platt College graphic design student, Caitlin Brewer, created this lovely banner for the Balboa Park Centennial Celebration. This was designed for her Term 2 Intro to Illustrator class. Check out more design work from Caitlin on her Behance Profile.

#9 – Platt College Alumni Rocky Beck-Owens hand painted these two portraits for an Alice in Wonderland art show last month called “Through The Canvas”. Her paintings of the Queen of Hearts and the White Queen were stunning to see in person. Check out more work from Rocky on her portfolio website.

#10 – Platt College Visual Effects student Lindsey Warrick filmed this inspiring documentary on her first attempt at a 3D projection project. We loved how she broke down the whole process from start to finish. Instagram only lets us show you a short sneak peek but you can check out the full video on our website.
