Dear Students, Due to the elevation of the Coronavirus to a Pandemic classification and national emergency, as well as the intimate nature of our classrooms and campus, and in the best interest of everyone’s health and safety our school is offering our students and teachers the possibility of remote instruction. Platt College San Diego is committed to delivering classes as scheduled. A new module starts Tuesday, March 17th, 2020. If instructors and students are in agreement, instruction can be delivered remotely by means of Google Classroom, Google Hangouts or similar interfaces. We ask that all students connect with instructors for guidance on how classes will be administered. However, Platt College San Diego campus will remain open for students and instructors if they choose to utilize our facility. If you are sick, please communicate with your instructor or supervisor, stay home, and seek medical attention. The remote instruction exception will be in place for two weeks, March 17, 2020 until March 31, 2020. This is an unfolding situation; the school will reevaluate on March 31st and update the Platt College community accordingly. Please check your Platt emails, website and social media regularly. We ask everyone to remain calm and understanding as we navigate through this transition together. The health and wellbeing of our students, faculty, and staff is our first priority. Sincerely, Julio Frizza, Director of Education
Graduation 2020
Platt College’s in-person 2020 Graduation ceremony, initially scheduled for Friday, May 15th, is being postponed until Fall 2020. While it is disheartening to postpone Graduation 2020 the most effective way to slow and disrupt the transmission of this pandemic – and therefore get back to normal — is by continuing to implement social distancing practices. Students, faculty, and staff should continue checking their Platt College email accounts and Platt College COVID-19 web page regularly. We will continue to update you through our Platt College emails and will provide updated information from Julio Frizza, our Director of Education. He will be our primary means of communication for updates. This situation is fluid, and changes will be made as necessary when additional knowledge regarding the virus and state government orders becomes available.
