Illustration of the Week: Betty Boop Re-Imagined by Ariel Reyes

Graphic Design Student Ariel Reyes Re-Imagines Betty Boop As Harley Quinn

This week’s illustration feature was created by Platt College student Ariel Reyes for her Term 1 Digital Publishing class. If you’re one of our many alumni from our graphic design program, you may be familiar with this particular project.

For this project, students are asked to use a character like Betty Boop or Mr. Peanut and transform them into a different character while keeping their likeness in tact. Ariel did a great job with this re-imagining of Betty Boop as Harley Quinn from DC Comics. She said she was inspired to create her as Harley because she’s planning on dressing up like her for Halloween. So fun! We can’t wait to see what she will create next.
