“Be thankful for what you have; you’ll end up having more. If you concentrate on what you don’t have, you will never, ever have enough.” Oprah Winfrey
As we enter the season of ‘Thankfulness’ there is often the reflection on what is important to us, we are inspired to gaze at life through the eyes of gratefulness, and we list all the things to be thankful for. Incorporating an attitude of gratitude into our daily routines can be beneficial, not only during the month of November but all year round.
Being thankful and showing gratitude creates a jubilant mindset that enables us to see the world from an optimistic viewpoint and instills the momentum to be humble which will help us to recognize the little blessings in our lives. When realizing how abundant we really are, we are inspired to give to others by sharing that abundance. Positivity radiates from within, expands out into the world and can be contagious!
To help maintain the spirit of gratitude and thankfulness year-round, here are a few helpful tips…..
Build Positive Relationships -Express your love and appreciation to the people you care about. Practice random acts of kindness.
Value the little things -Remember the tiny little blessings and appreciate what you have.
Create a ‘Thankful’ Jar -Write down a few things a week that you are grateful for and put them in your jar. You can also create a gratitude journal and write them in there.
Spread the Abundance -Smile at someone or give a small gift of appreciation; a simple ‘thank you’ is a gift that does not cost any money. Volunteer your time in the community to help others in need.
Want to share what you are thankful for? We created thankful cards so that our students and staff can share them in the courtyard! Feel free to fill one out and pin it on the board!
