2016 is finally here! At the beginning of a new year we always like to take a look back at the student and alumni graphic design, web design, video production and 3D animation work that we’ve shared on our Instagram account. We calculate the rankings for the top 20 designs according to the number of likes and comments each post received. If you’re a current Platt College student or alumni, don’t forget to use our hashtag #plattcollegesandiego for a chance to see your work featured through our social media profiles! Congratulations to all of the students that made the list…and those of you that even made it several times. Keep up the great work!

Congrats on locking in the top 3 spots this year Juan!

#16 – Alex Kinejara’s Neighborhood Camera Shop is his second feature on our top 20 list this year. This particular project is a notorious one among the students studying in our bachelor’s program. For our Term 4 Fundamentals of Web Design class, students are asked to design their own creative version of a mom and pop camera shop. Starting with a good design foundation, students learn how to build their site using HTML, CSS, FTP, and even some PHP and Javascript. Alex did a great job bringing this web project to life by designing a logo, coming up with a new color scheme, and rebuilding the information architecture.
