This piece showcases the three main stages of a CG project. Every artist has his or her own process, but Jarod Octon’s traditionally begins with an illustration, there after vectorization, until finally the piece is complete with color. His style combines old school techniques, with new school technology. Inspiration for Fonzi stemmed from various pop culture sources, two of which being Clark Gable and Beetlejuice (The Cartoon). Originally created for FX Dojo’s “Digital Association” art show, this illustration was sold while on display at ‘Crazee Burger’ located in San Diego, California.
